Kirland Hall is the best coach they have had at UMES in the past 30 years!!!!!!!!!
He was a player and a student of the game, learning his craft from the great Dr. Joe Robinson.
On top of that Kirk is a very fine human being who always gave his best and helped others.

Incredible !!! Kirk Hall actually was a good coach....the record reflects it as over the past 25 years....he still has the most wins. I have sent three players down there. Most recent being Ryan Leak, Co NYC player of the year....and the last coach couldnt get it done with him and Tim Parham. I realized while I was down there what it takes to win.............our alumni keeping their eyes and ears open. Think about it..your average year would amount to a parade through Princess Anne! they havent won 15 games in any three years. Kirk had a clue. He allowed me to bring Derek Robinson and Leon Graham down with me and then they made a dent. Anthony Mason (NY KNICKS) was my high school teamate and best friend. We knew we were going to black colleges .....we just didn't know where. When I chose UMES my whole H.S. team wanted to go there !!! But East tennesee state stepped in and grabbed 3 of them. Anthony Mason became an NBA ALL STAR, Terry Keyes spent 6 years in Italy , Anthony Fisher averaged 18 a game there. Tom Daniels went to N.C. central and ruled. All of us get together and wonder what if ......... The year after I left High School ....My high school won the city championship. Without Question we wouldve manhandled my UMES team. Kirk saw that and recruited hard. He surely deserves anotha shot before he retires.
